- Where is the location of the trap that set off the spraying event at your residence? What was the population of psyllid in that trap? Record the answer.
- What pesticides will they be applying? How often? Record the dates.
- Will this pesticide harm the pollinators, especially the bees? Record the answer.
- Which plants will they be spraying? If they spray non-host citrus plants with the Merit (Imidacloprid), they should be able to identify them and know the dilution of the pesticide for the specific plant. Record the answer.
- Ask them when reentry ACCORDING TO THE LABEL is allowed. Record the answer.
- Take pictures of any pollinators in the area immediately before they spray, especially bees.
- If you have an autoimmune disease, have young children, or have any concerns, now is the time to discuss them with your doctor and get a letter in writing on letterhead if they believe you need to avoid these pesticides. Record this letter.
- Ask them to sign an affirmation assigning them the responsibility for any medical expenses arising from exposure to these pesticides. This has not been reviewed by an attorney for legality. If you want, you should have it reviewed as we are not liable for any advice. If they refuse to sign it and still want to spray, they are publicly acknowledging that what they are doing is not safe.
